Autumn in Wales

To celebrate Mabon this year, I took myself (and my camera) off for a solitary walk around the village and through the woods.

The leaves are changing beautifully this year.

Because the weather tends to be so mild, we don’t get many of the vibrant colours you see in some places, come fall. A golden haze is just about all we can normally hope for – but not this year. This year, we’ve had the hot days and cool nights that make for truly stunning autumn colours.

The usual autumn rains have set in already, so sights like these are not uncommon.

My walk left me feeling both peaceful and energized – which probably only makes sense if you’re me. I can’t wait to see what changes the next month brings!
